Preschool Desk is a school management app with a social media calendar. It is for authorized school administrators and the staff they approve, who use it to run daily work such as attendance, admissions, fees, tasks and class planning.
How Preschool Desk uses Google
A school's super admin connects the school's own Google account. The app then does only this, at the scheduled time:
- YouTube: uploads the approved video to the school's channel as a public Short.
- Google Business Profile: adds the approved video to the school's profile and posts its caption as an update.
The Google connection is kept on the server and is never shown again in the app. Preschool Desk does not use it to read YouTube channel data, Gmail, Drive or contacts. The privacy policy explains what is stored, for how long, and how to remove access.
School records stay private
School records, dashboards, administrator features and personal information can be opened only after signing in, according to each person's role in their school. The only other pages without sign-in are the admission forms and fee payment links that a school sends to parents.
Social media calendar
Staff plan the school's posts on a calendar and add a video, a caption and a date and time. A video from a teacher goes out only after a centre head or super admin approves it.
